Abstract:
With the fast development of spintronics, the interaction between spin and heat flow attracts considerable interesting. A field known as spin caloritronics emerged, which focuses on increasing the thermoelectric figure of merit by adding“spin”, a new degree of freedom.Here we give an overview of the recent development of spin caloritronics: including spin-dependent Seebeck effect, spin Seebeck effect, thermoelectric effect of magnetic tunnel junctions and thermal spin-transfer torques in a quit optimized geometry.
