Abstract: The fluorescence spectra and decay characteristics of normal and cancerous cells are measured and compared using a timecorrelated singlephoton counting system.Furthermore,the measurement of fluorescence decay characteristics at different locations inside the cells is performed by the same method.The results obtained can be used as an important basis for cancer diagnosis.
